Traveling to the Dutch Flower Region, de Bollenstreek

From Schiphol Airport you can reach the Bulb Region by train, bus or taxi within half an hour. From NS Station Schiphol Airport, a Sprinter goes to The Hague. This stops at Sassenheim station and Leiden station. From Leiden you will be in Voorhout station (take the Sprinter towards Haarlem) in five minutes. Bus line 50 from Leiden to Haarlem stops, among other places, in Warmond, Sassenheim, Lisse and Hillegom. Bus line 30 takes you from Leiden to Katwijk. And line 20 goes from Leiden to Noordwijk. From Voorhout station, bus line 57 goes to Noordwijkerhout.

Taxis

At Schiphol there is a wide range of taxi companies that can bring you to the Bulb Region. A single trip by taxi from Schiphol to, for example, Noordwijk costs about 50 Euros, - There are many illegal taxis in Schiphol. Avoid these! Insurance, prices and driver identity are unclear and the ride may not be safe. Therefore, always take an official taxi. Official taxis can be identified by a blue license plate and / or a roof light and they drive on the taximeter.

Public transport

The train stations and the extensive bus network make for a well-accessible Bulb Region

The villages Hillegom, Sassenheim and Voorhout have a train station. Within half an hour you are in Amsterdam, The Hague or Haarlem. Leiden is even within five minutes by train from Voorhout or Sassenheim.

Bereikbaarheid per auto

De Bollenstreek ligt in het westen van Nederland op minder dan een half uur rijden van Amsterdam.

Vanuit de richting Amsterdam volg je de autosnelweg A4 in de richting van Den Haag. Na Schiphol volg je de A44 richting Leiden en Den Haag. De afslagen 3 tot en met 8 brengen je naar de dorpen en de bollenvelden in de Bollenstreek.

Vanuit de richting van Utrecht neem je de A12 richting Den Haag en neem je ter hoogte van Bodegraven de N11 richting Leiden om vervolgens via de N206 de A44 op te gaan. De afslagen 3 tot en met 8 brengen je naar de dorpen en de bollenvelden in de Bollenstreek.

Kom je vanuit Zuidelijke richting, dan neem je de A4 richting Den Haag en vervolgens de A44 richting Amsterdam. De afslagen 3 tot en met 8 brengen je naar de dorpen en de bollenvelden in de Bollenstreek.
