De mooiste bloementuin ter wereld wordt jaarlijks door honderdduizenden mensen bezocht. De laatste jaren zijn de bezoekersaantallen zelfs over de 1 miljoen gegaan. De Keukenhof maakt deel uit van het Landgoed Keukenhof waar ook het Kasteel Keukenhof staat. In 1642 werd een hofstede gebouwd met de naam 'Keukenhof' in de keukentuin van Slot Teylingen. De opbrengst van dit duingebied zoals wild, vee, kruiden en bessen waren bestemd voor de keuken van Slot Teylingen. In 1857 werd het park opnieuw ingericht door tuinarchitecten Zocher & zn die ook het Vondelpark in Amsterdam hebben ontworpen. De officiële opening van de bloemententoonstelling vond plaats in 1950.

In 2003 overleed de laatste kasteelheer van Kasteel Keukenhof. Sindsdien heeft de Stichting Kasteel Keukenhof de verantwoordelijkheid over de instandhouding en de exploitatie van het landgoed van meer dan 280 hectare grond en de 18 rijksmonumenten die er op staan. In de bloemtuin staan meer dan 7 miljoen krokussen, narcissen, lelies, tulpen, hyacinten en andere bolgewassen. Er worden rondleidingen gegeven en je kunt vanuit Keukenhof met een fluisterboot een tochtje maken tussen de bollenvelden door.

In 2018 is Keukenhof open van 22 maart tot en met 13 mei 2018. Het Bloemencorso is op zaterdag 21 april 2018.
